Dhaka Athletic was founded as a grassroots football academy with a vision to create opportunities for young players and contribute to the long-term development of football in Bangladesh. What started as a small player development initiative has steadily evolved into an ambitious football project focused on building a sustainable club with a strong identity and community presence. In 2026, Dhaka Athletic achieved a major milestone by obtaining its official club license and competing in Bangladesh's first-ever top-flight futsal league. This marked the organization's transition from a youth academy into a recognized football club competing at the national level. More than pursuing success on the pitch, Dhaka Athletic is driven by a larger vision. In a football landscape where many clubs are closely tied to corporate organizations and often lack a distinct identity, Dhaka Athletic aims to build a club that truly belongs to its community. The goal is to create a lasting football culture where supporters feel a genuine connection to the club, its values, and its journey. The club's colors, Oxford Blue and Amber, represent ambition, pride, and unity. Our dream is to one day see a stadium filled with supporters proudly wearing these colors, waving flags, and creating an atmosphere that reflects the passion of the city of Dhaka. Participation in IberCup for the second time represents another important step in our journey. It gives our players the opportunity to compete against teams from around the world, gain invaluable international experience, and proudly represent Dhaka Athletic and Bangladesh on the global stage.
